About Us

As MD of Aston Rose, John deals with the strategic elements of running the company and is Director in charge of the Property Management and Professional Services departments.

For over 20 years John was actively involved with RICS at all levels - local, national and international – even making it to Senior Vice-President. He is a keen skier, enjoys the film industry and ‘experimental’ cooking.

James heads up the building consultancy team. He has experience in all aspects of building surveying and project management, with instructions ranging from small works contracts on multi-occupancy residential blocks to the fit-out of 42,000 sq ft of new corporate HQ (inc space planning/logistics and move management of people and equipment).

James is a past-Chairman of RICS matrics London and in his spare time enjoys motor sports, snow boarding and hitting the decks - in a DJ sense!

Whether it is devising investment strategies, disposing of property or negotiating the purchase of multi-million pound investments, Ken has the knowledge and experience. He provides these services for a diverse range of private and institutional clients.

Ken is an active member of The Chartered Surveyors’ Company and, time permitting, enjoys golf, skiing and attending as many wine courses as possible.

Tim qualified as a general practice surveyor way back in the 1980s. As such he has a vast amount of experience in the acquisition and disposal of all types of commercial property throughout the UK.

Tim is past-Chairman of RICS England and former member of RICS International Governing Council. He currently sits on RICS London Regionaal Board. He is passionate about football – which is a shame considering he supports Wolverhampton Wanderers FC and the national England team. He also enjoys a wide taste in music and literature.

Paul runs the regional office in Worthing. He has over 22 years commercial property experience in Sussex, having lived and worked in the area most of his life. Paul joined Aston Rose from Cluttons Tod Miller, where he was responsible for business space agency.

He enjoys visiting the gym and playing cricket. Paul also likes to regularly pose on yachts and, time permitting, gets involved in the odd bout of child rearing!

Duncan joined Aston Rose early in 2009, prior to which he was a Director at Jones Lang LaSalle where he worked for 24 years. He is, as stated in Property Week (30.01.09), a ’valuation guru’ providing advice to owners, occupiers and lenders. Duncan is also an Expert Witness.

He has been actively involved with the profession for over 25 years, holding a number of senior positions within RICS, including Vice-President. Duncan currently sits on Governing Council and is Chairman of the Estate Strategy Committee.

In his spare time (depending on the time of year) Duncan can be found on the golf course, on the ski slopes or setting off fireworks!

Jane does all the other stuff nobody has the time to do (and neither does she!). She started her career in the PR department at the RICS and has been working in the property profession for more years than she will now admit to. Jane is currently Chairman of the London Property Quiz.

She loves to ski and also enjoys running and tennis. She has a passion for photography, fashion and cooking.

Originally from Sardinia, Giuliano joined Aston Rose in 2001 as a trainee (his only previous UK work experience being at our local bar, Finos!). Since then he graduated from Reading University with a BSc (Hons) in Estate Management and qualified as a chartered surveyor in 2008. Giuliano moved out to Milan in June 2009 where he concentrated on investment work, returning to the UK at the start of 2011 to take up the role of Head of Commercial Management.

He is keen on motorsport, football and riding his Ducati 749 (in fine weather!).

Helen has been with Aston Rose since 2000, prior to that she worked alongside John at Ernest Owers & Williams. Helen is our Office Manager, she oversees the smooth-running of the Head Office in London and provides support to the directors.

In her spare time Helen enjoys keep-fit and reading.

Wayne Savage is our latest recruit, having started in April as our new Head of Residential Management.

Wayne, who has a degree in Business Studies, joined us with nine years experience in property management. Since 2007 he was based at Canary Wharf where his portfolios included various sized ’highly prestigious’ developments within Canary Wharf and the surrounding areas.

In his spare time Wayne has a keen interest in Clay Pigeon Shooting and has been an elite sponsored member of the Great Britain Shooting Team.

Mickey joined Aston Rose in 2005. During his time with us he has gained experience in all areas of general practice surveying, achieving his chartered status at the end of 2010. He now concentrates solely on agency work.

Mickey is a keen footballer and enjoys watching the Italian National team(playing and supporting - Italy, of course). He also enjoy skiing, attending concerts and weddings!

Philip has joined Aston Rose as a Graduate Surveyor in the Commercial Property Management department, after completing a stint of work experience with us during the summer.

Philip read Business Finance at Derby University. He is a tennis instructor (professional tennis registry) and also a ski instructor (Austria), having spent a year at the Obergurgl Ski School.

Rob started at Aston Rose in 2008. He is a graduate surveyor in the commercial property management department.

In his spare time Rob enjoys mountain boarding, snowboarding and has an eclectic taste in music and movies!

Paul first joined Aston Rose in 2007 for his year-out placement, which studying at the University of Northumbia. He then returned, on a full-time basis, after graduating in 2009. Paul is involved with all aspects of building consultancy work including: schedules of condition, dilapidations, internal and external refurbishments - to name but a few!

Out of the office Paul enjoys playing football and enduring supporting Newcastle United!

Adam joined the residential management team in November 2011, having read Real Estate Management at Liverpool John Moores University.

He is passionate about football, enjoys playing golf and watching F1. Adam also enjoys travelling and experiencing new places and cultures. He strongly believes good music is essential in life!

Ruhul has been with Aston Rose since 2006. He deals with all the day-to-day financial aspects of running the company.

Away from the office Ruhul enjoys family time and travelling.

Our second graduate from the Building Surveying course at the University of Northumbria, James is also our latest recruit, having joined Aston Rose in October 2010. He undertakes a wide range of building surveying work on both commercial and residential properties.

James is another one keen on football. (playing and watching). He also enjoys music (self-taught guitar) and reading.

Ann has been with Aston Rose since 2000, prior to joining she worked alongside John Williams at Ernest Owers & Williams, with who she had been since 1971. Ann deals with the day to day administrative tasks of account management including: invoicing, payments and report production.

Away from the office Ann enjoys walking and reading - she also has a soft spot for Gorillas.

Kirsty is a property manager in our residential block management department. She joined Aston Rose in September 2011, from Countrywide. She has four years experience in the residential sector and is an Associate of the Institute of Residential Property Management.

Barbara joined Aston Rose in 2004 prior to which she was one of our clients! Barbara deals with payments received and arrears.

She enjoys spending time in France and learning French. Barbara attends regular fitness classes and is our resident retail expert!
