Aston Rose Maintain Karting Record

Aston Rose finished third place at the 5th Annual Gregory Rowcliffe Milners Karting Challenge at Lakeside, thus maintaining a faultless record of podium finishes since the event started in 2006. The Aston Rose team comprised Tim Richards, Mickey Fiori and Matthew Lilley. As usual, the event was not without incident. At the start of the race Mickey was rammed on the first corner and broke a suspension strut on the kart. Two laps were lost whilst the kart was replaced and, despite assurances that they would be taken account of at the end, they weren’t! Aston Rose lost out on first place by just under 2 laps – as you can imagine, unlike Tetleys, the boys were not bitter! Mickey did achieve the fastest lap record during the race.
