Aston Rose MD marks his half century with a gift to children’s charity, Kidasha

Aston Rose MD, John Williams, recently turned 50.  Those of you who know John will appreciated he is not much of a party animal (!) so, in a compromise, celebrations were held up an Alp, doing what he loves most – skiing.   Now, having been persuaded to mark the occasion, the one thing John remained adamant about was that there be no gifts.  Instead, in lieu of the fact you would never catch John running a marathon, cycling from Land’s End to John O’Groats or sitting in a bathtub full of baked beans, he really wanted to raise funds for a worthwhile charity.

A friend (and fellow skier), Janice Miller, is CEO of Kidasha.  Janice and her very small team work tirelessly, with limited resources, to prevent the neglect, abuse and exploitation of disadvantaged, working and street children in Nepal.   John has admired Janice’s passion and commitment to Kidasha ensuring nothing is wasted in order maximum funds are available to fight for the children in Nepal.  So, through the generosity of friends and colleagues, John raised over £6,500 for Kidasha, all because he hit 50 – imagine what will happen if he makes it to a Century Not Out . . .
