Electric breaking stories, parties and people, people, people . . .

. . . Yes, that was MIPIM 2011. It was a chilly week, however, the electric breaking news stories, international experts at every turn and parties on boats, in restaurants, hotels and bars certainly kept the heat turned up. Unsurprisingly, most of the talk was about the arrest of the Tchenguiz brothers and, more importantly, whether or not their party would go ahead – it did, without them. In all, over the course of 4 days the Aston Rose team between them attended over 20 one-to-one meetings, 5 lunches, 6 dinners, 9 drinks parties, participated in an international boules competition and played golf with Kenny Logan! We are planning our post-MIPIM drinks reception for 5th May and the invitations will be circulated shortly. If you would like to attend please contact janepreston@astonrose.co.uk As ever it was amazing to see over 18,500 property people in one place, yes, it is a long-week; yes, it is extremely hard work; yes, it is tiring, however, it is also a hugely interesting and enjoyable experience.
