Flippin’ Crazy!

Ken Morgan, as Senior Warden of The Chartered Surveyors’ Company, took part in this year’s Inter Livery Pancake Race.

The annual event, which is hosted by by the Worshipful Company of Poulters (who supply the eggs), took place in the fabulous surroundings of The Guildhall Yard.

21 teams competed for the coveted frying pan trophy – wearing either fancy dress or full regalia (or indeed a combination of both!).  In addition, a variety of liveries provided their skills for the race including the Clockmakers (who timed it), the Gunmakers (who fired the starting pistol), the Glovers (who provided the gloves worn by the racers), the Fruiterers (provided the lemons) and the Cutlers (provided the forks)!

Money raised from the event is donated to the Lord Mayor’s Charity.
