John Wiley and Sons Ltd Expansion and Relocation brings warehouse units to Bognor Regis Market

John Wiley and Sons Ltd (Wiley) has secured new space for their European Distribution Centre on the New Era Estate, Bognor Regis. Wiley will phase their relocation in to 150,000 sq ft (14,000 sq m) of new space over the next 18 months. The Wiley publishing business, founded in 1807 in New York City, USA, has grown from one small printing shop into a global publishing house. Wiley employs some 250 staff in Bognor Regis and has additional sites in the UK in nearby Chichester and in London, Oxford and Edinburgh. Globally, the business employs more than 5,000 people and has a turnover in excess of $1.6 billion. Wiley’s existing accommodation at 1-7 Oldlands Way on the Southern Cross Trading Estate, comprising seven units totalling 98,000 sq ft (9,104 sq m), will become available to occupy from this summer, 2011. Aston Rose Chartered Surveyors are pleased to confirm they have been instructed by Wiley to market the availability of these units which front onto the A29 Shripney Road. This is an excellent opportunity for businesses to take these prominent units, some of which have not been available since 1977 when Wiley first took occupation. Unit 1, comprising 42,270 sq ft, is the most prominent unit on the roundabout opposite the Bognor Retail Park, and will be available from June this year. It may suit a variety of uses subject to planning.
