MIPIM – Day 2 round up

After starting the day networking at the London Chamber of Commerce breakfast at Plage Royale, John Williams and Ken Morgan had back-to-back meeings before meeting up with colleagues, Tim Richards and James Porter, who flew into Cannes just before lunch. The annual Shedmasters reception, away from the madness up at Villa La Lezardiere, was as enjoyable as ever. The views from the terrace over Cannes were stunning – particularly so when the sun made its presence warmly felt. Then it was back down to la Croisette for lunches with Lockton and the Berkeley Consultancy. During the afternoon James and Tim participated in the 10th Annual Kingston Smith, Capita Symonds and Weston Williamson Boules Fight. Needless to say they didn’t take any prizes but, it was great fun and packed with a wide variety of participants. Then the team split up to attend the Sanne Group, Salans, Malcolm Hollis and Overbury receptions – all of which provided the most wonderful hospitality and brilliant opportunities to meet up with familiar faces, as well as make some new and interesting contacts. As if that weren’t enough, the day was rounded off with splendid dinners, thanks to Shepperd+Wedderburn and DAC Beachcroft. And tomorrow . . .
