There’s no place like The Dome!

Aston Rose entertained clients last night at its annual summer party, this year held at The Dome, on the seafront at Worthing. Originally a roller skating rink with a dance hall, The Dome blossomed into a cinema that survived two World Wars, bingo and the English Channel! However, in the mid-90s the building fell into disrepair and the threat of the bulldozers loomed. Then, in 1999, a small group of people (with help from English Heritage and the Heritage Lottery Fund), led by the Worthing Dome and Regeneration Trust brought The Dome back from the past and have given it a future. Last year it celebrated its Centenary. Over 30 people enjoyed the fabulous surroundings and the weather was (reasonably) kind, which meant guests could enjoy the views from the balcony. Oh we did like being beside the seaside!
