Aston Rose Southern Office in Major Acquisition

In one of the largest commercial property transactions on the West Sussex coast this year, Aston Rose’s Southern Office has completed the acquisition of Saxon House in Worthing. The freehold of this high specification office building has been acquired on behalf of leading UK tour operator, Classic Collection Holidays Limited, for £2.5m. Constructed in 1998 specifically for the previous tenant, the Environment Agency, Saxon House is located in central Worthing. Aston Rose negotiated both the surrender of the Environment Agency lease and the simultaneous purchase from the freeholder. Paul Brierley, Aston Rose Director for Southern England, commented: ”The decision was taken to make the most of current depressed values and identify a building that would allow Classic Collection to expand their growing business. The result was a tricky partite deal but one that ultimately resulted in an extremely favourable net purchase price and a very satisfied client!” Aston Rose has been retained to let the first floor of the building where suites from 3,000 sq ft are to be made available.
