Julian Smith joins Aston Rose Investment Team

Julian Smith, former Fund Director with BMO Real Estate Partners (BMO REP), has joined Aston Rose as a Consultant to the Investment Team. Julian stepped down from his role at BMO REP at the end of 2017 in order to pursue new challenges and opportunities, with the aim of retaining a connection and involvement with commercial property. This came after an impressive 34 years with the company, in its various guises, and where he was responsible for running several directly and indirectly invested mandates for Institutional investors and creating and launching a UK retail fund. Ken Morgan, Director of Aston Rose said: “We are thrilled Julian has agreed to join us and work with our Investment Team. With 40 years’ experience in the profession and, more specifically, his particular expertise in the financial services industry, he brings with him a new dimension and knowledge base which will greatly benefit our existing team structure.” On taking up his role with Aston Rose, Julian Smith commented: “I have known the Aston Rose team for many years and am delighted to be working in this capacity where I will have the opportunity to use my experience with this growing and ambitious company.”
